Extreme Performance Solutions
Whether you are faced with the challenges of space limitations, a lack of access to cooling air flow or you are looking for extreme intercooler efficiencies, the Liquid/Air intercooler system can offer an attractive alternative to Air/Air intercooler systems. The Liquid/Air system works by transferring the charge air heat (from turbocharger or supercharger) to a liquid coolant, this coolant is then pumped to a remotely located heat exchanger where ambient cooling air removes the heat. The obvious advantage with this system is that you can optimally position your heat exchanger in the cooling air stream, regardless of the location of the engine or associated space limitations.

Lead-Times
Intercooler assembly lead-times will vary according to the current number of orders being built. Please contact us for a lead-time estimate for your specific project (+1 830 438 6150). Typical lead-times for assemblies range from two to three weeks from approval of dimensional information (see below). Design and engineering of intercooler assemblies can range from one or two days to several weeks depending upon the complexity of the design and the availability of accurate dimensional information (drawings, mock-ups or prototypes).
Design Drawings, Mock-Ups and Prototypes
Bell Intercoolers can create effectively any custom intercooler design required, within the limitations of available intercooler core sizes. To create your custom intercooler we will need to provide critical dimensional information to our fabrication team. This information can be provided in the form of technical drawings (CAD or hand-drawn), assembly mock-ups, or prototype intercoolers. Bell Intercoolers will also work with you to design an intercooler if you do not have a design available. Any of these methods should allow our engineers to gather dimensional data on size and placement of end tanks, charge air inlet and outlet tubes, liquid inlet and outlets (if applicable), mounting brackets or bosses (if applicable), and any additional design critical details (e.g clearance critical areas).
If providing an assembly mock-up please be sure the mock-up is of relatively durable construction and capable of being shipped and handled without distortion or damage. Mock-ups can be constructed of metal, wood, closed-cell foam or styrofoam. All required elements (inlets, outlets, brackets, etc.) must be accurately represented and firmly mounted to prevent shifting during shipping and handling. Mock-ups damaged in shipping cannot be used.
Final design dimensions will be approved by you before we begin construction of the intercooler assembly. Dimensional accuracy and approval is critical as custom intercooler assemblies cannot be returned for a refund, only modified. All assemblies carry a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects.
